We receive plastic resins and parts for testing for a variety of reasons, but mainly to:

  • Convey properties of plastics to users – prepare TDS.
  • Confirm if materials meet standards and specifications, reliability, QC during development of formulation or product to meet certain specs to prove design concepts.
  • Determine the degree of degradation caused by processing or environmental aging.
  • Determine causes of failure, safety and liability assessment

The tests are done as per ASTM on either specimens molded from the resin or granulated part or on die-cut or machine cut samples from actual part (films, sheets, part walls). In rare and special cases, tests are performed on the actual part.
